Afflictionary


Positive:

Airborne - The afflicted is immune to Earth-based damage and melee damage, however receives 50% more damage from Wind and Lightning damage.

Haste - Movement of the afflicted is doubled, and they may perform two act actions for the duration.

Inspired - INT is increased 50% for the duration.

Intangible - The afflicted is immune to physical damage.

Motivated - ATK is increased 50% for the duration.

Protected - The afflicted is immune to INT-based damage.

Stealthed - Afflicted may not be targeted directly by attacks, but may still receive damage from area-of-effect based abilities or items.

Veiled - The afflicted's evasion increases by 50% for the duration.

Negative

Berserk - The afflicted can only perform basic attacks and has double ATK, however damage received is also doubled.

Bleed - The afflicted takes 12% of their max HP as damage each turn for the duration. This effect may be stacked up to 3 times.

Blind - Abilities and Skills have a 50% chance of missing for the duration.

Burn - Afflicted receives 12% of their max HP as damage for the duration. This number applies according to the target's resistances and the affliction can be cured if the afflicted is hit with a water/ice based attack or ability.

Charm - Afflicted becomes infatuated with the enemy and will attack their own allies or aid the enemy.

Critical - An indicator that the character is now at or below 25% max HP.

Curse - The afflicted receives damage equal to half the damage the afflicted deals for the duration.

Encroaching Death - If this affliction is not cured of, the afflicted will die after an indicated number of turns.

Fatigue - The afflicted cannot recover MP and loses an additional 10% of their MP per turn for the duration.

Frail - The afflicted cannot recover HP for the duration.

Ignorance - The afflicted takes twice the amount of damage received from INT - based attacks.

Petrification - The afflicted is turned to stone and cannot move or act. This can only be cured through an ability or certain item.

Poison - The afflicted takes 8% of their max HP as damage each turn for the duration. Any health regenerative effects that were currently on the afflicted are now dispelled.

Silence - The afflicted is unable to use INT-based abilities for a set amount of turns.

Sleep - The afflicted may not move or use abilities, and may not evade the next attack. Being attacked ends this affliction prematurely.

Snare - The afflicted may not use a move action for the duration.

Stasis - The afflicted is unable to move or act, nor be damaged, healed, or inflicted with a status effect for the duration.

Strained - The afflicted is unable to perform basic attacks or use physically based abilities.

Stun - The afflicted may not move or use abilities for a set duration.

Stop - All player phases of the afflicted are skipped completely for the duration.

Retrograde - The afflicted takes damage from healing effects and is healed by damaging effects and attacks for the duration.

Venom - The afflicted takes damage equal to 25% of the inflicter's INT per turn for the duration. This is not mitigated by the afflicted's SPR.

Vulnerable - The afflicted takes twice the amount of damage from physical attacks.

Wet - The afflicted takes double damage from lightning-based attacks.

Weapon: Degraded book (+1 to INT)
A tome passed down through the generations of Ezekiel's family. Though it once held the answers to the most fundamental of mankind's questions, said answers have been worn away after milleniums of usage. Time has not been kind to it.

Armor: Dusty robes (+1 to DEF)
An astromancer seldom has time to wash his overcoat, and this one is no exception. A designer-brand knee-length coat that was at one point white, and now favours a more ivory shade.

Accessory: Chakra-jewel necklace (+5 to MP)
An artifact that Ezekiel discovered on a journey to a faraway place. The necklace had been used in what seemed to be a summoning ritual, and its wearer along with the wearer's comrade had both been slain far prior. Surely the youth it was taken from didn't mind having his trinket pilfered.

This ability may not activate again for 5 turns after the effects expire.

Every 1% HP missing from then on provides an extra 1.875% damage reduction rate until a cap of 100% is reached. Efficiency of this portion reduces by 1/5th each turn.

+ Dance of the Phoenix: A Enemies within 3 cells receive a burst of 150% piercing ATK DMG with a 33% chance to inflict burn. Immediately defeated metallic units in the area will fuse to Yun while spirits affected will be siphoned, adding an additional 5% for DEF and SPR per procurement throughout the battle, respectively. The burn, absorption and siphon area-of-effect lasts for 3 turns. If Yun’s vessel perishes, he may rebuild himself after absorbing 4 metallic units at 25% of his Max HP.
